Mark Hoban Appointed Chair of Pay UK
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Hoban as Chair of the Board of Pay UK. The organisation was formed in 2017 as a means to simplify the UK’s retail payments systems. Created from the consolidation of the three main UK Retail Payment Systems (FPS, BACS, ICS), Pay UK now is the sole UK Payment Systems Operator.
Mark is the Chair of Flood Re, a joint initiative between the UK insurance industry and the UK Government focusing on flood reinsurance. He is also Chair of the Jersey Financial Services Commission. Mark is a Non-Executive Director of London Stock Exchange plc and Borsa Italiana. He is a senior adviser to PwC where he is also a member of their Advisory Council. Previously, Mark was the Minister of State for Employment. Moloney Search has previously placed Mark on the Enforcement Decision Making Committee at the Bank of England.
