The Premier League Charitable Fund has appointed Toni Thorne and Rupen Shah to their Board of Trustees

Article   –   9 March 2023

The organisation’s Board of Trustees provide leadership and overall strategic direction, promoting the charity’s value and mission in line with its charitable objectives.

We are pleased to have placed both Rupen and Toni to PCLF’s Board of Trustees, where they will provide support to the organisation’s inspiring work.

Rupen was previously Chief Financial Officer of the Football Foundation, before departing this role last year to embark on a full-time portfolio career. He spent his early career as a Football Coach with Arsenal FC, and has seen the power of football in uniting people. He has continued his coaching work and is also currently a Board member of Women in Sport.

Toni is currently Marketing Strategy Lead at JP Morgan, and has previously held a range of Board positions including one for the Commonwealth Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs for Canada and Caribbean. She is a Women of the Future UK Awardee and was the first Black or Caribbean person to sit on the Global Youth Leader’s European Summit. She is keen to focus her non-executive career on initiatives that work to improve opportunities for young girls and women.
